Photojournalsim

This photo was taken by David Seymour in 1948.  This shot is of a young girl waiting to be fed in Vienna, Austria.  Many children like this one are examined by the school doctor and placed in one of three categories:  healthy, not so healthy, or six kilos underweight.  Over 25% of the kids placed in the third category and 40% in the second.  UNICEF feeds all the children in the third category but dose not have enough money to feed the entire middle category.  A full meal is guaranteed with half the organization and half form the government.  This photograph conveys heartbreak for a small child that has no food.

Paul Fusco took this in the Imperial Valley of California.  It is a reflection, from a rain puddle, of the united Farm Workers picketing at the edge of a farm.  They were trying to organize laborers to join the union. The image brings the feeling that these people went through some difficult times and are standing up for what they believe in.

This photo was shot in London, England by Ian Berry on New Years Eve.  It is of a kiss at midnight in Trafalgar Square.  this Photo Brings out the feeling of happiness, love, and hope.

A picture taken by David Healey of his wife and two daughters at the UCLA medical center three years ago.  it is a picture of an everyday occurrence for hospitals similar to this one.  This picture shoes struggle, love, and the hope of overcoming the diagnosis of leukemia.

This picture captures two flight attendants from United Airlines looking across the field where Flight 93 crashed.  Taken by Steve Mellon, in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, they attended a service in memory of the 9/11 horror. This photo conveys the grievance and struggle  that they went through after the terrorist attack.
